A stunning news. Well, actually it’s not stunning but crazy and dirty. A software developer was beaten by a manager of the other department. All this insanity happened in the municipal council of Seoul. This asshole manager is the one of managers of the municipal council and he, who was beaten, is an employee of a commercial firm. In fact, this kind of insanity has occurred every once in a while, so it’s not surprise for me to read the same news again.

There are many ethical issues about this case. First of all, with more than ten other employees being there, no one ever tried to save him. They must be too surprised to take a proper action or they were afraid of some vengeance from the manager, I guess. In either case, it is sad for them to take no action.

Second, the manager has not been punished yet even after five days passed. It seems that nobody want to take a charge of accusing him. People, especially Eastern Asia people don’t have a gut to take a responsibility of blaming someone for unethical issues if he is parent or boss.

Actually, I have a very similar experience with the victim of this news. However, at least he, the attacker was punished for his action. I guess the municipal council are wasting my taxes for keeping a wrongdoer.

  1. Capitalize the first letters of the words in a title, except the prepositions and the articles.
  2. It’s better not to use the word “asshole” in your essay because it is quite an impolite word. Use “fiery” or “irritating”.
  3. No need to use a pronoun if the object/subject is being named (“the attacker”/ “the one who was beaten”).
